Charlotte Louisa Elers was baptised on 16 Sep 1859 at Saint Andrew’s Bordesley, Warwick. She was the second daughter and third child of Carew Thomas Elers and his wife, Sarah Elers (nee Field).
After the death of her father Carew in 1870 she went to live with her grandmother Sarah Elers (nee Palmer), as by that year both her parents were deceased. The 1871 Census shows her situation:
James was born on 3 March 1857 and baptised on 16 August of the same year as per the records in the Parish of St. Helier, Island of Jersey.
He was the son of Richard and Mary Ann Woodcock (nee Bonney), as seen in the Channel Islands 1861 Census (Mary Ann’s maiden name quoted in the birth and baptism note of James above).
James and Charlotte were married on 9 June 1883 at Margate St. John The Baptist, Kent.

Charlotte died on 14 January 1951.
At the time of her death she was living at 52a The Grove Isleworth, Middlesex.
Her personal effects valued at GBP212 were left to her son Richard James Woodcock.

Charlotte and James had two children - Richard James Woodcock and Louie Gladys Woodcock.
Richard James Woodcock was born on 16 Mar 1884 and baptised on 13 Apr 1884 at Holy Trinity, Penge, Surrey (both dates shown on his baptism certificate).
Richard married Elsie Warner (who was born in 1900), at St. Giles, Middlesex in September 1920.
According to the 1939 England and Wales Register, Richard’s mother Charlotte Woodcock (nee Elers) was living with him at 11 Crawford Street St. Marylebone, London.
By this time Charlotte’s husband James Woodcock had died nine years previous.
2. Louie Gladys Woodcock was born on 26 March 1886 and was baptised on 18 August of the same year.
She died in March 1887 aged only twelve months.
